About Digital Kiwi

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide New Zealand's small to medium sized businesses with a range of products and services that are both genuinely useful and great value for money.

Our History

Digital Kiwi Ltd was originally called the Independent Technology Advisory Group Ltd, which was established in 2003.  In 2005, we decided that Independent Technology Advisory Group was a bit too grand a moniker for a small company like ours, and so we rebranded to Digital Kiwi Ltd.

We intend that the brand should represent our intention to be friendly, honest, approachable and understandable.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is based on three things:

  1. While we at Digital Kiwi are passionate about Information Technology, we understand that not everybody shares our passion. We know that for most of our customers, computers are just another business tool, and all you want is for them to work.  We know that you don’t want (and don’t have time) to learn all the intricacies of installing, managing and maintaining even a fairly simple IT infrastructure.
  2. Having been in the IT services industry for many years, we know that smaller organisations often don't get very good service from IT companies.  If you’re not worth $100k a year to them you tend to be at the bottom of the pile when they are working out how to allocate their resources.
  3. And finally, we know that computers are expensive things, and that most small enterprises have to run a pretty tight ship.

So in light of these our philosophy is simple.  In order to deliver the best possible level of service we need to address each of those three issues.

We need to take responsibility for our customer’s IT infrastructure.  We can't just sell them a PC or fix a problem and forget about them – we need to make sure the PC we sell them is properly installed and maintained and we need to make sure that problems we fix stay fixed.

We need to make sure that our operation runs in such a way that we are able to allocate proper resources to even the smallest of our customers – dollar value shouldn’t be the measure of our customer’s importance to us.

We need to understand business reality – we need to recognise that our customers have limited IT budgets and that they have to invest it wisely. We need to help them to get the biggest possible return on their investment in IT.

Our Promises

We promise that we’ll always do our best for you.

We promise that we’ll always try to give you the best possible advice and that when doing so we’ll take into consideration your real world situation.

We promise we'll never try to sell you anything you don't need, and guarantee anything we do provide will work.

If you think we haven’t delivered on any of these promises, please let us know. We can’t fix stuff if we don’t know it’s broken.

Our Hopes

We hope that we will be able to implement our philosophy in such a way as to leave you delighted with our service, we hope you will consider us to be a part of your business team and we hope that you will help us to be the best that we can be.

We're not going to be able to achieve these goals without some feedback from you, so if you have any comments, criticisms or suggestions, please do contact us.

Finally, thanks for dropping by.  We hope you enjoy your time here and that you find the site useful.  Please feel free to email me directly if there is anything I can do to help you.

Regards,
